Julie Stooks was born in London and studied at Twickenham College of Art. She now lives and works in the South of England, as a canine and portrait artist.

Julie also produces artwork for book jackets and calendars and has had a number of her paintings of dogs published as Limited Edition prints. She prefers to work where possible from life, and paints at several big championship shows, including Crufts.
